Warning Signs of Potential Human Trafficking
Control & Communication
- An individual arriving with another person who speaks on their behalf or appears to control them
- Visible fear or reluctance to interact without the presence of the accompanying individual
- Difficulty in communication, either due to language barriers or intimidation
Appearance & Behavior
- The individual appearing underage or close to underage
- Signs of physical abuse or malnourishment
- Lack of personal possessions or documents
